Have you ever think what happen if you put a L72 V8 into a 4 door luxury saloon? This what will happen: you got a full size luxury sedan with ability to run from 0 to 60 mph in low 6 sec with 1/4 mile time around 14 sec @ around 90 mph and top speed over 140 mph. This Impala can be ordered using RPO Z24 and Z03 only in 1968. It's available in every model from station wagon to fastback sport coupe. But the trully sleeper is arrived in 1969 with no SS emblem at all in every model except steering wheel. The only way to know it's SS or not is read the VIN number and indentified the the front disc brakes because it's fitted to all SS model with no cost. This car also available with F41 suspension, Muncie M20 and Rock Crusher variant with final range from 3.31 to 4.89 ratio. There's also a 4 disc brakes as optional from dealer.
