This is a beautiful classic American luxury coupe. But I think Facel HK500, which is based on this Chryslers, is more elegant, and I would take Chrysler's French cousin.

I like the big canted fins. They kind of remind me of the straight big fins of my parents 1957 Chrysler Saratoga. The '57 Chrysler would go about 118-120 mph with the old style hemi engine. I got to ride in the Chrysler a lot, but I never got to drive it unfortunately.

If you open the hood on one of these you will see some wild looking long cross ram intake manifolds going across the engine with a four barrel carburetor sitting at each side of the engine. The short ram looks the same as the long ram, but they cut out the passages to shorten the distance to only 15 inches in order to get more high end horsepower. The full 30 inch rams had better torque, but less power above 4000 rpm.

@ Super8: I love the Chrysler 300 F, what a classic, 413 Max Wedge Hemi, 400 horsepower, out of this world styling, if you pull up in one of these you have arrived, my friend, this car had style and performance that few cars of that day could match!

This car is Facel-Vega HK500's eternal rival. If you had money and had to choose between those two, which one you will take? Less powerful but beautiful Face-Vega HK500 or more powerful but heavier Chrysler 300F Special GT?

A special version of Chrysler 300F. Usually, 300F has 413 Cross Ram Wedge Engine delivered 375 Hp. But this one has specially modified short ram which increase engine power to 400 Hp @ 5200 rpm. This one also specially fitted with French Pont-A-Mousson 4 Speed Manual from Facel-Vega cars to make sure this one can reach it's full potential. As the result, it can reach 150 mph with 0-60 mph in 6.1 sec which mean very fast in that time and probably the fastest luxury sedan in that time. It has similar specs like 1960 Facel-Vega HK500 but this one has much more final gear variant from 2.93 to 3.73. The only drawback is this car is heavier than HK500 which mean slower acceleration.
