first ever...
hydropneumatic suspension with adjusable ride high 9-28cm (Rolls Royce and Mercedes bought the copy rights and Rolls Royce recived their parts directly from Citroen!),
turining head lamps,
powersteering that automaticly centers,
rotor brakes inside not at the wheels (less unsprung mass), during it´s time the DS chassie was extrem focused on light weight..the roof was made of glass fibre reinforced plastic and they used 100kg aluminum for the body to safe the weight of steel, aerodynamicly lightyears ahead it´s time back in 1955...
the ride comfort of the DS was in the 1950´s miles ahead any other car no matter what continent or brand..
first ever car that used radial tires
etc...
