488 Spider vs Huracan Performante Roll Race:

User avatar

dddd  7y ago

Ferrari 488 coupe and 675 LT are close in roll drag race :

The most important thing is that 488 in launch control mode revs higher and has better acceleration above 100 km/h than during "normal" acceleration so either Spider is significantly slower than coupe or something was wrong with that run...

TheSUPERCARDRIVER Drag Race (Audi RS6 vs GTR vs Porche 991.2 vs 570S vs 488 Spider vs 675LT):

I can understand that it was the 488 Spider and not the coupe (which is said to be ~50 KG lighter than the Spider) but the performance it showed here was, what you expect from Ferrari these days...underperforming.

488 Spider and 650S Spider on a mountain road!

User avatar

dddd  8y ago

I havent that it is slow. Its a decent , not bad result.

At least this Spider would definitely have better 1/4 mile trap speed than this sluggish one that trapped 127 mph.

User avatar

Chanante  8y ago

6.2 to do 100 to 200 is slow? what time does a 650S or 911 turbo? and it is only a one test, not average. 0.5s of difference in a 100 to 200 is not really relevant.

Add the reliability of this machines....

At long last there is a 488 that has been V-boxed. Its a Spider.

This car is claimed to do 100-200 km/h in 5,7s. The stock car has done 100-200 km/h in 6,2s which is a decent result. Still worse than factory claim.

After modifiactions car has done 100-200 km/h in 5,2s which is an incredible result.

Its a pity that F-cars have to be tuned to keep up with competitors in terms of straight line acceleration.

The good thing is that F-cars are good in other aspects of supercars.

From the other side those results, especially trap speeds are so bad that propably something had to be wrong...127 mp/h trap speed ? I have seen 458 Italias that have done that.

User avatar

Anony  8y ago

Any 80-100 km/h timing below 0.8s means there should only be a 0.1s gap between 60 mph and 100 km/h. This does 80-100 in 0.6s!!

For future reference, Nobody post a real acceleration video, that way these to won't continue to say og it's so slow it's not as fast as the magazine rest, It wasn't using this n that it had a ad driver the weather was terrible etc lol

User avatar

FastestLaps  8y ago

we can all see that Ferrari cant make cars that are fast in straight line

Well.... this thing is faster than McLaren F1, so everything is relative :D

User avatar

dddd  8y ago

11,1s and 127 mp/h is a result that is below ANY standard in this car's price and performance segment. But we can all see that Ferrari cant make cars that are fast in straight line. Thats all. The most important is that F-cars are good at tracks and they are exciting to drive and to look :).

User avatar

Chanante  8y ago

How many times do you need to say it? 488 spyder without lounch control and bad changes but stop. 11.1 and 127mph is horrid holy shit. Yes my bycicle does better...

User avatar

dddd  8y ago

Omg this 488 is horridly sluggish...127 mp/h trap speed ?

User avatar

BR2+  8y ago
