Me:

Jaguar XJR X308. 370-brake-horsepower, 4.0-liter, supercharged V-8. I'm a rear-wheel drive luxury flagship sedan with performance credentials. Where do I lean on the political spectrum?

ChatGPT:

Looking for someone who can handle a little horsepower? Look no further than yours truly, the Jaguar XJR X308. With a supercharged V-8 and rear-wheel drive, I'm not just a luxury flagship sedan - I'm a thrill ride on four wheels. And as for my politics? Well, let's just say I lean towards the "fast and furious" party. So if you're looking for a good time, buckle up and swipe right.

I have enjoyed my 2004 XJR for 4 years now. No maintenance other than regular maintenance. The 2004-09 XJR's are true diamonds in the rough! You can get them dirt cheap and put 120K miles on them without a blip. And they go like snot!

I think some Jaguars are reliable, but again they're just rebadged Fords. I like Fords (Jaguars) but Chevys (Cadillacs) are better. Well, Lincoln is comparable to not Cadillac but Buick, and Mercury to Oldsmobile.

@CoolShirtGuy: I think that goes for all British cars, except maybe the Austin and MG Minis. I do however agree with hemisrt that Jaguars have done a lot to improve the reliability of their cars.

The new Jag's are a whole new ballgame. I think they will prove to be great cars. My next purchase may be an F-type.

I can agree for the most part Jags reliability is in the dark, They have certainly had some history under that flag, And not good.

But also at the same time, I think alot has to do with how you take care of your car, And even drive it. my uncle had a 76 XJ 5.3, And hasnt had a single problem, And still has the car today in pristine condition, Hes a big Jag fan, But at the same time a good friend had a 87 XJ40, And well, Lets just say he didnt even have the car for 10months...

SO its rather odd about some companys, Or cars, You hear have shite reliability, And others not a single problem, Rather intriguing.

@Shaggy
Jags have a reputation for being unreliable everywhere.

That acronym originated in Jaguar's own home country.

I like it too, but Jaguars have a reputation for being unreliable in my country.

..."Youngtimer Muscle Limo"......

What?...

Another "youngtimer muscle limusine"
One of the best, and still very fast.
I prefer it over Americanish, muscle cars with crapy interior

The torque is 525 Nm. Please change it!

Unfortunately I don't remember an actual source, but it seems that my torque data is wrong...

http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/2000/112_0005_1998_jaguar_xjr_long_term_wrap_up/viewall.html

387 lb-ft ~ 523 Nm, so it should be changed!

@Mental
Is the torque figure right? I found 525 Nm not 505.
