I have the only black one. I track it regularly.

Beast.

User avatar

BR2+  11y ago

That was my original guess, But they state Mph at the end of the speeds tested and claimed the 0-60, kph was what i thought, But cant be, Either thats a typo or im callin BS.

User avatar

saxy  11y ago

I'm guessing that's more like 0-30kph, or 0-20mph

User avatar

BR2+  11y ago

They got great times, But im gonna call major BS on that 0-30mph time, 1.18s for this? Yeah right, Thats 911 Turbo S time.

Fangio Man  11y ago

That's XKR-S, not the GT.

User avatar

Fangio Man  11y ago

Where that 1/4 mile time comes from?

My favorite tracks, in order: 1. MeMans Curcuit De LaSarthe
2. Nurburgring Nordschleife
3. Daytona
4. Sebring
5. Road Atlanta :)

User avatar

aaaa  11y ago

My top 3 are 1.) Laguna Seca, 2.) Nordschleife, 3.) Virginia International raceway

User avatar

Shaggy  12y ago

@ Fangio Man: The Nordschleiffe is in my top 5 favorite tracks, simply because it's the ultimate proving grounds for a car's performance, when a company wants to prove their cars, the take them to the Nurburgring. I also like Daytona, the road course, Laguna Seca, Camino Viejo de Montesrrat, Road Atlanta in Brazelton GA, about 120 miles away from my home, Road America, Sebring, Silverstone, Twin Ring Motegei. Great tracks. :)

@Shaggy
My favourite track is, and always will be, the Nordschleife!

But there are many other great tracks out there: Le Mans, Spa, Kyalami, Monaco, Monza,...

User avatar

Shaggy  12y ago

@ Fangio Man: My favorite track has always been LeMans Circuit De LaSarthe in France, the old Mulsanne circuit without the Mulsanne straight divided with those chicanes, 8.4 miles, I like tracks with long straightaways where the cars can reach insane speeds.

User avatar

Fangio Man  12y ago

@Shaggy
Yes, and the second longest track is, as far as I know, "Circuito di Pescara" (25838 m).

Pescara is also the longest track ever used for a F1 race.

But, unfortunately, it was in the racing calendar only once. In 1957, Stirling Moss (Vanwall) won the only F1 run at Pescara.

User avatar

Shaggy  12y ago

@ Fangio Man: That makes it the world's longest race track.

User avatar

Mental  12y ago

Hmmm.. so then the laptimes for Superleggera, GT-R, etc. were done in bad conditions, or not by pro drivers. Because I cannot imagine this Jaguar being quicker than the top supercars.

And so then, why the laptime is gone?

User avatar

Fangio Man  12y ago

@Shaggy
I do not know exactly, but for the regular Nordschleife (20600m), the GP section is closed. The whole Nordschleife is around 26 kilometers long.

User avatar

Shaggy  12y ago

@ Fangio Man: For such a long track, 12.9 miles, that's not really that much of a difference, what section of the Nordschleiffe do they close off for the regular circuit?

User avatar

BR2+  12y ago

I just want to see this vs the Z/28, that's all.

7:19 is Manufaktur Vs Independent

User avatar

Fangio Man  12y ago

@Shaggy
That 7:19 is for the regular Nordschleife. At the full Nordschleife it did a 7:41. ;)

User avatar

Shaggy  12y ago

@ Mental: The Corvette ran it in a little over 7 minutes and 19 seconds.

User avatar

DeDe  12y ago

@Mental
XKR-S did 7.51 min under the hands of Sascha Bert on the Nordschelife Full and he said that on semi-slicks the car would be at least 10 sec quicker.

So with semi-slicks and other upgrades 7.40 is possible with the GT.

User avatar

Mental  12y ago

7:40 at the Full Nordschleife? Faster than the 997 Turbo S and even Corvette ZR1? Seriously? I smell something is unclear.

And 7:40.000 flat? Looks like a claim.. very optimistic claim.

I know this wildcat must be fast.. but not That fast.

The fastest Jaguar ever... Imagine what could happen if they managed to make a C-X75 a production street car. Ferrari, McLaren and Porsche would be in a big trouble!

Jaguar today confirms it plans to sell 10 examples of the extreme performance XKR-S GT sports car to customers in the UK.

Supported by a team from Jaguar's Engineered To Order (ETO) division, the XKR-S GT recently completed a lap of the famous NürburgringNordschleife circuit in a remarkable 7 minutes and 40 seconds. This supercar-rivalling achievement makes the new XKR-S GT the fastest ever road-legal Jaguar at the Nordschleife track.

User avatar

Fangio Man  12y ago

More extreme XKR-S!

But this speedlimiter is useless...

User avatar

Mental  12y ago

Jaguar is planning to increase the production run up to 50 units including European market.. well, thank you for another 20 units... got a slightest chance to see it performing at the track.

User avatar

6 speed tiptronic......what a gag

User avatar

@Monkeypop
AM V12 Zagato? I don't think it can be called something hardcore, or performance oriented... It's just a redesigned basic V12 Vantage by Italians. I'd be surprised if it performs somehow better. However, we will never get an answer... just like about this Jaguar...
