Tsukuba: 01:02:87

Dont know if he is a professional driver but I think the car could go even faster! As you can see there is a lot of trafic on Tsukuba and he also screwed sometimes by hitting the rev limiter...

such a nice car

On the Lamborghini website, the dry weight for both the 700-4 and the 720-4 is exactly the same at 1575kg. Fastestlaps.com has 2 different numbers

It has a more dramatic aerodynamic-layout, so I don't thing that 20+ hp would do much difference. My guess for 0-200 kph time is 8,5-8,6 s at perfect conditions.

LP720  11y ago

I also noticed that the LP700 and LP720 produce 700 and 720 horsepower at 8250 RPM, and the Veneno produce 750 at 8400. So I guess all that Lamborghini did with the 6.5 V12 is just increase the rev. And the result is 30 more horsepower (from LP720 engines).

I cant wait for the facelifted version of the Aventador. The upgraded engine of the Aventador is already exist in Venenos (with 750 hp) and Lamborghini just have to put it into Aventadors called Aventador LP750-4 or something like that. Hope it will appear in this year!

Yeah, Slightly more Hp, Slightly less weight, But the tranny shifts slightly faster, Dunno if it has upgraded tyres, But that increased aero may actually slow it down at higher speeds. Most likely no more then a full second round a track, and less then .4 to 200Kph.

19hp more and no less weight in a car with 691hp to begin with... I don't think you will see a huge increase of acceleration.

"0-200 km/h ?????
any test?"

Not yet as far as I know. We may not even see a test...

Anyway, my guess:

8.1 seconds

A bit utopian, but I will be wrong anyway. :D

0-200 km/h ?????
any test?

If anything Id say the Absolute Top model of the Aventador would produce over 800Bhp, People are going power crazy these days, But an SV wont be for a god while.

User avatar

Lamborghini  12y ago

but i easily could imagine that it will get the Veneno's 750 horsepower engine, and the name will be LP750.

User avatar

Lamborghini  12y ago

The original Aventador did 0-200 km/h in 8.6 at AutoBild's test, I think this more powerful Aventador will be under 8.5 sec, and the newest Aventador (rumors called SV) is already tested in Nurburgring (a black and a yellow one), I hope they will introduce some information this year, and will be in production 2014.

User avatar

Mental  12y ago

I think if this special Aventador was tested, it would reach 0-200 in 8.5 sec easily.

@Fangio
For those, who are desperate Lamborghini enthusiasts and car collectors, Yes, it is worth every penny. ;)

I really hope that at least Quattroruote will test this beast. 0-200 kph should be faster than the F12's 8,8 sec they've managed.

Good looking updates on the exteriour.

But is it worth the extra money?

User avatar

lafars  12y ago

the number ( [31] ) after the sentence about downforce is linked to an article about the car on jalopnik

User avatar

Shaggy  12y ago

With 19 more horsepower, it should be about 5 MPH faster than the LP700-4.

User avatar

Shaggy  12y ago

@ lafars: Wikipedia isn't always accurate.

@Alan
First you must drive it to write this bullshit.

User avatar

Alan  12y ago

Almost same as original Aventador

hard to feel the difference when you're driving

User avatar

lafars  12y ago

on wikipedia it says that this body kit produces 50% more downforce than a regular aventador, i wonder what the veneno produces

User avatar

BR2'  12y ago

Yes its WAY to early for an SV model, that should be the last in the generation, Maybe an LP780 or something, The pressure of performance is getting critical.

I also believe this wont have the same performance as a base LP700, 20Bhp more should increase its top end given the drag isnt messed with much, new splitter and rear diffuser should also improve track times minimally, along with a faster shifting tranny.

Although it looks a bit plain in the back, i wouldnt mind seeing a small one like the Murcielagos and Diablos had.

User avatar

Mental  12y ago

Well.. don't you think it's just too early for the SV? But damn, I'll be happy as hell seeing it already!

User avatar

Lamborghini  12y ago

Aventador SV is under testing in Nurburgring at this time :)

It will produce more horsepower, than Aventador LP720, and also more, than F12 Berlinetta. :D
And it will have less weight both of them.
Rumors said that it will be announced the end of 2013.

User avatar

FastestLaps  12y ago

Still less HP than Ferrari F12. Haa ha ha ha. :D

But this is beginning of more and more powerful Aventadors, based on that brand new Lamborghini V12.

Any word on performance figures?
