How can I calculate the Drag coefficient?

1997 Mclaren F1 GT:

Drag coefficient: Cd=0.39 (a-c method)

Still, better than nothing. And experience>money. But, indeed, I'd love to see them tested. And I wish carmakers managed to create more such prototypes, cause in future that model may influence and share with new tech and ideas with the future series model, which would be based on that past "One-off" prototype model. Experience.

Talking about Stratos I meant that if Lancia didn't manage creating first examples as prototypes, there wouldn't be more units, and no one couldn't test Stratos, cause there wouldn't any series model. Okay, that's maybe not that good example.

But about CLK-GTR? Hopefully, they've built at least 25 units, right? But what if AMG didn't manage to built first cars? Then there wouldn't be any further model. That would sad. And now CLK-GTR is a legend, and you have to agree, without them the world would get kinda poorer.

So even one useful project is better than nothing.

@Mental, Name me 1 car that was made in 3...or less that is..."Great" thats been tested and renowned.

Stratos was made many more times then 5,was actually tested and driven, cars like these IMO shouldnt even be bothered, they cost the company money, and will give the Company money depending on how much they charge.

That's not a good way. If every everyone didn't bothered building even few cars, then possibly there wouldn't be any such great supercars, or even that which could further become street homologation-legends (like Statos etc.). In addition, that's just a useful experience for the maker.

But I'm absolutely agreed they have to create and produce more such homologation models, especially now.

I dunno, i dont see a point, why bother making it, when, 1: there never gonna be tested...in ANYTHING, there never gonna be known, and most likely ever going to make it out of the garage, id rather they just didnt bother, but like i said before, the Homologation rules should be changed to 100 Minimum.

Still, that's better than nothing.

They should change the Homologation rules, building just a SINGLE car is incredibly stupid IMO, the limit should be raised to 100, Minimum, its not like that wont sell.

it is a homologation special edtition with the F1 GTR race car body in a street car, with increased downforce and reduced drag, it has the typical LeMans long rear which deleted the need of a rear wing (like they needed on the short rear F1 LM). McLaren needed only to build one but they have build three... one was a prototype which is still owned by McLAren the other two were sold to cutomers...

better downforce/handling possibly??

What is the special about this car?
It looks like it is faster but it is not.
It is 80 kg heavier and have less power.
And is it really road legal?
