Of course, it should stay.
I've been interested in this 1 of 25 limited edition for a while but I never thought I'd see a laptime for it.
I know it's a strange example but in Feb. 2011, Ford introduced a Super Duty pickup (turbo diesel) with 390 hp and 735 lb-ft of torque. GM shot back a month later with a Heavy Duty pickup with 397 hp and 765 lb-ft of torque. Ford made a software upgrade a few months later that gave them 400 hp and 800 lb-ft of torque. Now comes the weird part...
Ford allowed owners with the 390hp to get a free software upgradeto 400hp/800ft-lb.
So...if Mclaren wants to upgrade SLRs, it should still count as a (limited) production car.

Since you already added it and a laptime along with it, I don't dare removing it!
After all - there is still no strict rule regarding what can and can't be added as separate page.
In the mean time - I am thinking about a completely new, fundamentally different fastestlaps database where this problem will be somewhat less relevant.

so guys I have added this car because I want to know from you if we should keep it or delet it?
The McLaren "SLR McLaren Edition" is a idea of SLR owners who asked McLaren to build "SLR Upgrades" offered by McLaren Owner Exclusive..this program peaked in the SLR Edition a 25cars limited reproduction...
The changes are little bit more than optical.. example this version has a completely different steering mechanic than the standart SLR, the aerodynamic is completely redesigned and improved the downforce by 10-15% and improves cooling, other changes are at the suspension, exhust and interior...
I would vote for keeping it...it is similar to the Nismo Skyline R-34 Z-tune a car based on used models build in a limited production run and sold extremly expansive..
