Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR Super Sport specs

Wow, I did not expected it is so "heavy". I thought it is, a way, lighter. But never mind!

CLK GTR Super Sport has 720 hp not a 664 664 hp has normal CLK GTR AMG's

@ Viking: I like a loud, aggressive sounding engine, if not loud, at least aggressive.

CLK-GTR is absolutely astonishing car. Fast as hell. True race car. And its sound! Even though I have never heard the actual sound of its fire-bursting AMG V12, but I remember from playing NFS HP2, CLK-GTR sounded just magnificent, very "Kompressorish". And it's just goddamn beautiful, its LeMans body shape is stunning, and painted red - just a bomb!

I wish so much the times of omologation race cars were back today...

Wow, I didn't even know about this car! Groovy MB exotic. If it is loud, that is fine given the character of such a fast car. Loud is good as long as it is a quality sound (not just noise).

This is my favorite Mercedes Benz, and my 2nd favorite version of the CLK GTR, my favorite version is the limited version, of which only 5 were built.

I believe the Super Sport has 720hp. And weighed closer to 2200lbs.
But it is hard to find accurate info on a one off car.

This chassis belongs under the new SLS.

thats not correct... there is only one CLK GTR Super Sport...chassie number 17 of the CLK GTR production...
Chassie number 3 owned by Mr.Mohammed Bin Sulayem which was shown at 5th gear with Janson Plato behind the wheel was a normal CLK GTR that was later turned into super sport spec and bejoned with 710hp..

The only Super Sport was delivered in the red as shown abouve but was later transfered back to HWA the company who raced the CLK GTR for Mercedes and turned into a silver outside red inside.. today it is in the USA.

Only 5 built. It has the 7.3 L, V12 engine which has been used in the SL 73 AMG and in the Pagani Zonda models.
