Yeah, about the 912, there is a 912. And I would love to see a Chevy Borat.

If thats the case it is retarded.
Whats next Ford Dustang?
Chevrolet Borette?
Mercedes Benz SM63 AMG?
Porsche 912?
Im fine with the name, But DONT name it something else, Make an SLC, But make it DIFFERENT, Smaller and with a Targa only top id say, And only a 4 cylinder in all its options.
I think Benz is getting out new models...A little TOO fast..

Well, not really. According to Mercedes, they were rational with the names. In the new collection of Merc 'specialist' cars, the 'suffix' letter (A,C,E,S) shows the size, and the prefix (SL,GL,CL) tells you the body style,eg GLA, or SLC. the only not-normal-bodied cars exempt from this new name system are the G-Wagen and SL.
There's an explanation for you.

...I dont see the point...Is the SLK discontinued?.
They just decided to change the name :) Happens. It's the marketing people who feel guilty for not doing anything, so they change the name just for the heck of it :)
