Just celebrate the guys and probably gals who came up with this simple design and won the races for the UK there's nothing like it now or then it's an icon to be savored and preserved just shows what we can do with engineering in this country

An interesting fact: mighty XJ220 had an engine taken from this car.

6R4 was a group B Rally Car - here's one just being finished for a CAR SOS. https://ricwood.com/car-sos/

15.4s@100mph? Sounds like a joke! The 1994 Chevy Impala SS hit 0-60 2 seconds slower and did a 15.0@92 in the 1/4 mile. How is this possible with a 0-60 time of 4.5? lol someone must be drunk

I think back in 1985 someone in Testarossa was very disappointed, when this lunchbox on wheels destroyed him in acceleration!

Looks like a self-made bodykit made of plastic!

Really a JOKE!

Who would buy this thing?

This car looks like a joke! But technically that's perfect, especially in 1985! That's an amazing Ultimate hatch of the XX century, and only few modern manufacture hatches would outperform it, I guess. At the track it could be Really fast with 250 hp, 1 tonne weight, AWD and all that aero stuff. This hatchback could be a serious problem to the supercars the same period!

Unbelievable! And that's made by Morris Garages!

The front bumper looks like a snow plow or a cow catcher on the front of a train. :) snickering.

@CarElitist
You'll sure have alot of downforce on this! I bet it's very hard to get this thing of the ground in a jump or something like that!

User avatar

I believe that is a rally car for the street much like an Evo or STi. You need downforce.

What the heck is up with the body kit???

User avatar

Didn't MG have more to shove in its body?
