Very impressive test data for the '78 car. The very first 911 Turbo still remains to be competitive. True veteran.

That is a 3.0 first generation turbo. the high headlight washers, single mirror and whale tail give it away

i do belive all 930 turbos had a 4 speed gearbox.
Porsche did have a 5 speed box in some 930:s but it was considered too weak for the turbo so it had the 4 speed box.

No the honor for the first production car with Turbo engine goes to GM...
1962 Oldsmobile Cutlass Jefire and Chevrolet Corvair Monza Spyder were the first. But after them it needed 1ß years till the next Turbo engined car..the 1973 BMW 2002Turbo. Porsche was next presenting the 911Turbo the first time in Paris in 1974.
