Officially, lap records are in race or practice only, but I think let's face it, qualifying is still doing laps. Qualifying laps style are done all the time by manufacturers on road cars too.

if we add lap times for racecars will they be qualifying times or race fastest laps?

Ok, I get it. Renault was pissed off at Redbull for all the bashing and bad publicity, and refused to put their name on the engine.

So Redbull took the oppurtunity to sell a fantastic new type of ad slot - name of the engine-maker to their sponsor TAG Heuer.

Fantastic... Next thing we need is Ferrari with Marlboro engine :)

RB shouldn't behave like that. Won't. inspire Renault to do a better job for them...that's for sure

Learned a bit more about Alain Prost in that article. I recall Eclestone say Prost was his top driver of all time, because he always had competition and still took away 4 titles, and a few 2nd places while racing Lauda and Senna.

Respect

Renault, they just don't wanted to put their name on it, cause of the issues that RedBull and the French Maker had.

Still Renault. But not even using their name... I wonder why Renault even agreed to that

Who is building Red Bull F1 engines? Clearly, not a watch-maker. Redbull themselves?
