Correction, VERY old Muscle car.
And so what if a car does good at one thing, If that's what the consumer likes and it sells great, plus it's a Tesla, nobody gives 2 suites about what it can do other then acceleration tests, you don't hear about its nice interior, how comfy it is, how it looks, how it rides etc all you hear is its fast from 0-whatever, I'm quite tired of hearing that.

If your car doesn't do anything well, that's too bad. There are a lot of cars on the market that do many things well. And are awesome too
And no, Usain Bolt isn't a 1 trick pony. He's the fastest man EVER in history to run over 2 Olympic distances. One that is a straight line and one that has a bend.
And not only that, he's got character. Just cuz your the fastest guy doesn't make you a superstar.
Sportscars not only go fast in a straight line, around the corners they also need to look good drive comfortably and connect with the driver, showing character.
They can't just do 1/4 miles and that's it. That's called a muscle car. Aside from the auto pilot crashes all the headlines are 0-60 times.

Tesla is a one trick pony? Well...my current gas car is a zero trick pony. It doesn't do anything well. Should Usain Bolt run a marathon now? Usain Bolt is a one trick pony!

Straight from the Tesla Website
https://www.tesla.com/ModelS
The car only has 532hp. They've finally been given enough shit to stop BSing. Still, every publication in the world is still saying this car has over 700hp.

Power is wrong. The maximum system power output of the P90D is 463 hp for the stock model or 532 hp with the Ludicrous upgrade (Source: https://www.teslamotors.com/models). The claim with 760 hp was a lie by tesla. They just added up the power of all motors even though the system is not able to deliver full power at all motors at once. To my knowledge they were forced by law to not use this wrong claim any longer.
I hope this can be corrected.

Well, it wasn't actually production. 360kg lighter, different batteries and took 11:48.
In comparison, a nearly stock NSX finished the course in 10:28. In fact most modern turbo sports cars/sedans will be much faster than the Tesla. If the Tesla were a stock P90D, the finishing time would be over 12 minutes. Just shows, a 0-60 1-trick pony has its limits. Sports cars are here to stay

This car is a spacious family sedan with 90MPG(e) that happens to beat anything on real roads with an acceleration that can put even Hellcats, Lamborghinis and Ferraris to shame (within speed limits + 20mph). In reality the Model S P90D can beat other cars just by putting the pedal to the metal and let the computer controlled precision rapid responding torque management do the work of keeping the torque at the very sweet spot of best acceleration without slip at any road condition...without need of silly noisy launch modes. Surely it doesn't do too great on race tracks, but for those 0.001% of people driving on race tracks, just go buy another car and enjoy the smoke and noise that comes with it.

finally someone who tells more about the car than just it's 0-60mph time. and it's not good XD

Unfortunately it will not be able to finish any significant number of track laps at that power usage.
The 85D could not finish 1 x Nordschleife (20 km) lap; half way it went into cruising mode.

I will be the very, very first to reveal the P90D Ludicrous' 1/4 mile trap speed. The original "P85D" did 11.6 at 115.2 (but pretty quick for the aforementioned speed). Let's do the math!
Step 1: In parenthesis, divide 11.6 by 10.9
Step 2: Multiply by 115.2
Easy solution: (11.6/10.9)*115.2
Result: 122.6 miles per hour!
This (above) means it is 6.42% faster in the quartermile. Don't expect myself to be 100% right, though! (I could be wrong.)
One thread (in one of Reddit's forums) tried to request for the P90D's trap speed, and no one ever revealed it before!

Ludicrous Mode means 0-60 mph in 2.8 seconds! Can't you believe it shares the same exact power-to-weight ratio as the Charger Hellcat and Cadillac CTS-V at 340 bhp/tonne?!!
