It says here that there is one speed twelve on the roads.

It's an end of year autocar collectors edition entitled - Tiff Needell's guide to the fastest cars in the world, from 2002.

I've got some stats for this car, with Tiff Needell behind the wheel.
0-60 - 3.8
0-100 - 8.1
0-150mph - 18.0
Jeremy Clarkson raced the 420hp version of one of these against a 993 turbo and it won comfortably(1 mile strip)

I don´t belive because every trustworthy car magazine source in the UK claims there was never ever a single production Speed12 and I guess we can all agree thata british car magazine knows the best what a british car producer does... the road going version sold was build from surviving race cars.. all other Speed12 pictures you find in the internet shows one of the prototpyes with one of the two other licens plate I have named...

Like i said, i no what i saw, i no my cars, i can tell if a car is a fake/replica or not, and like i said b4, i would upload it from my cam, cause i even got pics of the engine and interior, but i dont have the cord to connect to my computer, other then that, i cant give you an explanation on why that info is that. but like i said..again, you dont have too believe me.
Georg 16y ago
the next think you should think about... if there are so many street versions why do no pictures exist?
There are the pictures with licens plate
red W112BHG build from a race car body
red W312BHG prototype
silver W312 BFV prototype
there are two other prototype´s shown without licens plate...
show me a single speed 12 road version picture with a other licens plate on it
Georg 16y ago
are you sure they were REAL speed 12 and not just Cerbera clones?
and why should every trustworthy source claim the wrong fact if they say it NEVER went into production?
Next question you should ask yourself... if they build some road going version why the hell such a road going hypercar was NEVER ever tested by any magazine? TopGear only tested a Speed12 race car... if you look through the online libarys of UK´s car magazine you will find not a single speed 12 road version going test. Even the Dauer Porsche 962LeMans wastested by car magazines...
Georg 16y ago
There is only ONE road leagal Speed 12... all other are only prototypes with licens plates put on it for car shows or photoshootings...
The TVR speed 12 NEVER went into production... they made a vew road version prototypes and some race versiosn, most of the road version prototypes were used as spare part deliver for the race cars... the only real road legal speed 12 is build out of the surviving race cars...it was sold by TVR with the W112 BHG licens plate ... because all speed 12 road going prototypes were destoryed they used a speed12 GT race car body to build it easy to id at the many cooling openings in the fenders and all over the body
pistonhead (UK)
Unfortunately is the Speed 12 never made it into production..

Try adding it again if you've got pictures of several different Speed 12's with different colors and number plates. That should prove that more than one was built for the road. I've looked aroung but the only one I could fins was the red one W112 BHG
BumRush 16y ago
Yes, i have seen it too, Actually Them, theres more than 1 on the streets, like ive said, ive seen 3 of them all with license plates all different colors and different drivers being driven on the road, i cant upload my pics, but people tend too believe what they want, but i do believe a certain member on here keeps deleting them because he/she said there only 1 in existance, which isnt the case, but i wouldnt add it if i were you because its only just gonna be deleted, but i hope that helps:)
stewve__1979 16y ago
How come it keeps getting deleted? I did read in a magazine the they wern't going to sell any but I think the built a few anyway. I've seen pictures of one with a number plate and tax disk.

If you're still looking for a Cerb, try PistonHeads web site. I drool over TVRs on here every week but gonna be a few years before i can afford one.

you are right about the engine ... but the weight is a big ??? there are claims of 1100kg, 1190kg and autocar uk who realy tested it vs a Brabus claimed 1275kg Kerb weight...
and again I have read reports that several Cerbera owners weight their cars and that there are huge differents between them... up to 150kg for the same model...depending on the extras (like larger 18" spider wheels, aircondition, radio etc...)
Stu Rydings 16y ago
The engine info is wrong. It's a SOHC 16v V8, not 32v DOHC. Also the whole car is 100kg lighter than what is mentioned here.

I have found a very few information about the engine of this car:
