If a Ford Focus RS and a BMW M140i can't do this result, neither can this car. Top Gear is a joke and should only be taken lightly

Funny you mention it, I'm currently on finding stats for cars in this category. I'm convinced it should be the same or slightly less than the first RS4 from 2001, which is around 10.4 seconds. Sounds realistic to me at least

Auto Bild too has been known for providing either inaccurate or ringer results, like 3.14 to 62 for an Enzo, 3.16 to 62 for a C6 ZR1, a 212kph 400m trap speed for a Hellcat, etc etc.

Top Gear had a "stock" DBS Superleggera at a whopping 218kph (!) trap speed as far as 400m trap speeds go. That's higher than any C7 ZR1.

Yeah, that's what I thought. They're usually 0.3 to 0.6 seconds off, most likely driven on super grippy tires. And then we have Evo magazine who claims 14.2 seconds 0-100 mph for the Focus RS which is just BAD! Lmao

That's why it's good to average optimistic and pessimistic results.

Evo sometimes miscalculates quartermile times. When they tested a CCX, it did 3.9 to 60 and 7.7 to 100, but for quartermile they got 12.3. When they tested a C6ZR, it did 3.8 to 60 and 8.1 to 100, but for quartermile they got 12.5. Both cars trapped 132 mph.

Lmao, that's exactly what I started doing in the last few months. After a while of checking and accumulating stats you suddenly have your own comparison table and can figure out easier what a specific car can actually achieve.

I'm sure my lists still have a few mistakes here and there, but at least it has a 70-80% accurate overview to use in an actual conversation. 😎

That's why benchmarking is vital. Whether it's the same car from multiple tests and sources or comparing to another!

The Project 1 figures are yours to decipher!😂
