Hardness or softness of plastics is not the be-all and end-all for interior quality. There are soft plastics that feel tacky and cheap also. And there are so many other factors like the fit quality (gaps), material, weight, feel/feedback of switches and knobs, quality of fabrics/suede/leather/stitching, headliner material and quality of decorative trim pieces etc etc etc.
Nobody is complaining about fit and finish of Porsche interiors.

I never understood why people like soft materials on the dashboard so much. You aren't ever going to touch that, are you? As long as it's not super cheap looking plastic, I don't care :D
Steering wheel, shift knob, and door handles are different of course.
