OK, I added the "Grand East Course" to both track names.

The track length did not change but all of these times by C&D and the Manufactures that run there are on the Grand East Course which is 4.2 miles long. The Full Course, which I usually run, is the 3.27 miles long configuration.

Thanks for the track update :)

OK, fair enough. I did exactly as described.

But, is the track length of 3.27 miles correct? What was the track length before 01/2014, was it affected by reconstruction?

Yes they have widened it in such a way the it is allowing higher corner and exit speeds for some of the corners besided the increased grip from the new pavement.

My opinion would be to create the new track with the name of VIR (post 01/2014). They finished sometime at the end of Jan or beginning Feb.

The resurfacing alone I don't think is enough of a reason to do that.

But if it was widened in such way that it allowed for faster cornering trajectories, then it is a real difference.

Should I rename current VIR to "Virginia Internation Raceway (pre XX/2013)" and add new one "Virginia Internation Raceway (post XX/2013)", where XX - the exact month when the track was renovated?

I am going to say this again but all these new times from the C&D Lightning Lap at VIR are not comparable to the previous VIR times. The track was repaved and widened last winter and the lap times have been running almost 2 sec a lap faster for just the Full course. We need to start a post repave and widening list for VIR.

I am sorry but the reference is terrible. You can't have an anonymous link as reference.

And even when I open it, in an effort to correct it, I can't figure out what magazine is it, let alone it's issue number or issue date.

Please let me know what magazine it is, and it's issue date, and I will update the reference for all these laptimes.

Thanks!
