Talking about 20 year old cars, the F40 is amazing, but did you know that at Bruntingthorpe in 2004 a 1987 RUF CTR Yellow bird did the standing mile in just 27.7 seconds hitting 189.11 MPH (304.3 KPH).

So thats gotta be 0-300 KPH in about 26 seconds dead I would estimate!! Not bad for just 469 HP and an old 930 bodied porsche! Just shows what light weight can do and plenty of torque.

35s to 200Mph LOL try looking up R&T ThunderRoad, and you will see the 0-200mph time is More than 12s Faster! That test=Shite!

So yeah all the confusion about the S7's time it's right...

The F40 is insane, it ran 11.6 for the quarter and that for 87 is quite insane!

F40 is unbeliveable !

Over 20 years old, "only" 478hp and 31 sec to 300kmh !!!!!

Idea is to keep the best performance figures in car pages but I can't be sure that every single carpage is updated with the latest and greatest figures.

Show me better acceleration times along with reference to respectable media that tested these figures and I will update CTS-V page.

For your info .. i raced M5 from 0-260 and i beat him ... and beat panamera from rolling ... and i will post video soon ...

Not surprised by that. What I was trying to say is that CTS-V would most likely lose to M5 if race was from 200 km/h onwards, not standstill to 260 km/h.

And I wanna see that video. Not because I have any reason not to believe what you said - but just because I enjoy watching these kind of 1car vs another street-race videos :)

User avatar

cts-v  12y ago

yah .. your site is putting the worst test for cts-v and best test for panemera turbo ... and you are comparing between them ...what about this test ///

Zero to 60 mph: 3.9 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 8.7 sec
Zero to 130 mph: 14.8 sec
Street start, 5–60 mph: 4.1 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 12.2 sec @ 119 mph

User avatar

cts-v  12y ago

also cts-v from 0-260 in24.5 sec ... waht about panemera turbo ....

look at this

http://www.evo.co.uk/carreviews/cargrouptests/242737/porsche_panamera_v_maserati_quattroporte_s_v_jaguar_xfr.html

For your info .. i raced M5 from 0-260 and i beat him ... and beat panemera from rolling ... and i will post video soon ...

about 14.2 and 70 sec .. this is not true ... no way no way ... any way i challenge any panemera turbo race from 0-300 .. any challenge ...

FastestLaps  12y ago

Hi, CTS-V!

CTS-V does not accelerate faster than Panamera turbo. You can compare it to Turbo by looking at this page

http://www.fastestlaps.com/comparisons/482b178a0c1bc-vs-49288a8442818.html

CTS-V - Panamera

0-100 km/h acceleration 4.2 3.9
0-160 km/h acceleration 8.7 8.1
0-200 km/h acceleration 14.2 13.5
0-300 km/h acceleration 69.3 -
Quarter mile time 11.9 11.602

I have a suspicion that Porsche's figure of 500 hp for Panamera is understatement.

At speeds above 200 km/h, especially closer to 300 I am sure CTS-V would lose even to the slightly dated BMW M5. It's not the most aerodynamic car.

User avatar

cts-v  12y ago

well .. cts-v from 0-300 is not accurate ...

hell my car can get from 0-260 in 24.6 sec which is faster than panemera turbo ... so it need 50 sec to get from 260 t0 300 .. that not true ...

User avatar

BumRush  12y ago

I dont believe that, but unlimited it does o 186mph even.

User avatar

CarGuy  12y ago

I don't think that is correct. I daught that a stock M3 can do 300 altogether nevermind reach it in a quite impressive, 50 seconds.

User avatar

BumRush  12y ago

are you really gonna believe that vidoe when its just a speedo?

User avatar

vitocorleone57  12y ago

hi carguy, check this video for stock m3 e92 0-300 in 51 seconds also with bad driving from 0-100,pls explain to me how m6 would need same time as m3 with bad driver to reach 300 !!!sure there;s somthing wrong,m6 is my dream car,im sure it takes less than m3 by much, pls reply :-)

Do Yall have a guess on these 0-186mph times?:

20.9 Ruf CTR3
25.1 Pagani Zonda C12-F ClubSport
27.3 Maserati MC12
28.1 Nissan R390 GT1
29.3 CallaWay C16C
33.8 Lexus LF-A
34.0 Mercedes Benz CLK DTM AMG
35.2 Ascari KZ1
35.8 Ferrari F50

My Guesses.

User avatar

CarGuy  12y ago

Don't worry about the M6 time. I have seen at least 3 tests where it reaches 300 km/h after about 50 seconds. Still very good time. Remember the 0-200 is probably a lot more important because after 220, 240 it is very hard to catch up in a car.

User avatar

vitocorleone57  12y ago

i am confused abt the the time m6 needs to 300km/hr, they say over 50 seconds, but i dont think so, it should do it in late 30 seconds, becoz it takes it 27.4sec to 250km/hr,it should do to 300 in less than 25 sec from 250km/hr,i saw that on many u tube videos for stock m6,and the time to 300 from zero was around 39 seconds, can anyone pls help,im sure of it
