60 The Lamborghini Huracan STO is finally here.

Cover for The Lamborghini Huracan STO is finally here.

The hyped Performante successor looks promising, with more aero than its predecessor, light weight and extreme performance. Truly a road legal race car!

According to Lamborghini press release, Huracán STO will have 640 PS and 565 Nm from the same 5.2 liter V10, 1339 kg dry weight and 0-100/0-200 km/h time in 3.0 and 9 seconds.

Lamborghini are also advertising braking distance of 30 and 110 meters for 100 and 200 kph.

No doubt there will be peeps crying foul that the STO was using 102 octane fuel but with the DA being 2400ft above sea level yesterday ie a 6% drop in power they needed the higher octane fuel to advance the ignition timing to try and match the turbo cars which are far less affected due to boost pressure increase...

What i wanna know is why the Huracan STO is using bespoke Bridgestone tyres?

Hmm, less torque than the Performante, same power output, but still slower to 200 despite less weight. Nice. Definitely is gonna take the Nürburgring record (not)

They really could’ve picked a better paint job to release the car in. Haven’t heard much about suspension and what it will be like to drive and actually around a track. I’m also shocked that with the weight and upgrading the brakes it’s still 30 meters for stopping distance. The 2RS is ~28ish. I think it will look way better in different paint and will do really well on shorter tracks

Intresting! It’s a performante that’s rwd only and hence being even lighter.
According to the figures they gave of 2.06kg/ps, that should be 1337kg dry weight. Maybe a 1460kg curb weight I’m guessing. It’s definitely not going to be winning drag races but this should be the purest driving lambo in a long time.

The Huracan STO looks awesome and i'm sure it'll be fast on track but it needs another 40-50hp.

@FastestLaps, don't you think it would be great if we could see 3 or maybe 4 articles at the same time on the home page? There were so many of them recently!
