The strongest argument from Honda - is thei engine technology. They have a lot of expirience with motorbike engines, and other high reving engines with the top in the world reliability.

But i quess they now work only on the new sport super hybrid NSX with AWD

It would be, The last S2000 was compared with the base Boxter, The Japanese cars now a days are actually getting power. The next one, If there will be one, would most not likely get compared to an F-Type V6, Simply because of the Double price difference, Power, Drop top yes, but other then then unlikely, But I do hope they make one.

an S3000, with a 3.0 V6... That'll compete with boxsters, F-types, etc. and it'll be awesome.

No doubt, The S2000 was a truly wonderful car, My mum had one.

Easily on of the most fun and best handling cars, And it looked great.

Im hoping Honda will make a successor, Like S3000 or something. It would be a shamed if they didn't.

S2000 was a great car, I'll be glad to see S2000 successor in near future (and NSX successor to).

@piorun

You need to watch Chris Harris's review of it

"performance should be judged by its nature, not its quantity" - Chris Harris on cars, gt-86 vs 370z vs Cayman

So over 10 years ago Honda made more power, more revs, was faster. And convirtable.
BRZ/GT86 - its just hype.
