What's funny is that this is a manual only car vs an auto only car, and the SS hits 52 in 1st gear, not even 60.. and it still does 0-60 in 4.1. Had it hit 60 in 1st gear at a higher redline, it would do 60 in 3.8. About 0.2 sec quicker than the Redeye and 0.2 sec slower than a ZL1

It's not always the horsepower, it's the traction. The Hellcat is supposed to compete with the ZL1, but even the Redeye barely keeps up with even the SS to 60 mph.

Except it was done with PJ1 TrackBite and pre-race burnouts. A real figure-8 time for the SS 1LE is around 23.5-23.8. A Camaro ZL1 1LE couldn't even go past 23.0. The stock chassis of the SS 1LE is capable of handling far more power than the stock engine is, basically a big man's Civic Type R or GR Yaris.
