Impressively the Porsche 911 GT3 RS is roughly as fast on a track as the more powerful AMG GT Black Series. These seem to be the fastest production cars as far as lap times are concerned. I have never driven a high downforce car like these, it must make sweepers rather interesting and fast.

So close! The Mercedes isn’t that much faster when it comes to acceleration (if we consider the power difference), and it has a lot less downforce, so overall I think the Mercedes did very well, especially considering it came out 2 years ago. Plus, the fact that it is front-engined is also a handicap, and yet it delivered exceptionally. The Porsche has the advantage of having more downforce, being a lot lighter and being rear-engined, but it’s down on power. It came really close to the BS, and I think that’s about the fastest a 525 hp car can go. It’s also relatively cheap compared to the Mercedes. However value for money I’d probably take the new z06 with 707 package
