Note that the test of this Tesla did not have the 5% power increase nor did it have the track package that is now available from Tesla. So Model 3 in corners pulls about 1.0g not 0.95. Expect 1/8 mile at 7.6 at 98mph and 100 mph at 100 mph. According to Dragtimes many are doing 1/4 mile in 11.4 and one in 11.3.

These test results have some anomalies:
Shows Tesla at 8.6 secs for 0-100, but 1/8 mile shows 8.4 secs, and shows BMW 8.5 secs for 0-100 but 1/8 mile shows 8.6 secs at 99.4 MPH,
And since they are so close 0-100, and BMW stops faster, how can
0 - 100 mph - 0, have Tesla at 13.1 s and BMW at 13.8 s ?

This data isn't even accurate right now. Personally ran 11.4@115 in my model 3 performance before the 5 percent power increase. WHo cares about top speed? There is no stock m3 beating this thing to 60 or a 1/4 mile, let alone at a stop light. Literally just mash and go. No sliding no effort. That bmw looks pretty but the gas, maintenance, etc.. will add to the amount you already overpaid by going that route. I've had them both and for anything I drive regularly I'm not going internal combustion ever again. Just regen braking is worth it. Imagine never having to use your brakes for anything other than hard braking. The torque vectoring of electric motors. I'm a gear head but it's just impossible to beat electric in everything but raw horsepower right now. Do your research unbiased and you will see. Better yet go actually ride in a tesla . Not a prius or a leaf but something fast

I would say M3 is faster given the fact it catches up after being behind at first. Any car that is faster at high speeds, and slower at slow speeds, is considered a faster car.
