As predicted, the W1 is (at least for now) faster in top end, but it cant compete with the F80 in low end accelleration with the F80, bad sign for future track performance.

Come on Porsche it's your turn to complete the holy trinity, over all there's too many variables to be able to predict how both will behave so i will not be getting too invested into overanalyzing both but on this specs and this "claimed figures" not tested ones, the F80 should perform better and the 4WD system should make it behave better too, i couldn't be surprised if McLaren is giving "pessimistic figures" as this seems to be their trend (most McLarens do have more HP that they claim (pretty sure the MP4 12C had more HP that the claimed figure (performing too close the 991.1 Turbo S (newer in comparation) & Aventador LP700-4, 720s own ICE has more hp than ICE P1 this is why this model performs too close to the P1 ,918 and LaFerrari) ) but Ferrari aren't innocent of this practice too (488 GTB) soo this is a very interesting limbo....

Too many unknowns

F80 was tested by Quattroruote. W1 not, yet.

Uhhhh the F80 has a better acceleration, better braking, and has a V6 instead of standard V8. Pretty obv to me

I know this is from a videogame but I'm still convinced the W1 would be able to take it down. Even with a small margin.

This will probably end up like 918 v P1, the F80 will have the advantage up to the ¼mile and then the W1 will start to crawl it in. F80 is surely the better track car.

@mods please fix downforce data. W1 produces 1000kg of downforce kph 280 kph and F80 1050kg @ 250 kph

WHY TF EVERY NEW HYPERCAR HAS TO WEIGH OVER 1.5 TONNES? WHY NOBODY CAN MAKE IT LIGHT LIKE KOENIGSEGG?

AWD will probably give the advantage to the F80 on track, however we don't know the W1's curb weight that might be decisive.
On a straight line the F80 is gonna kill the W1 at launch but i fear that the AWD's extra weight will catch up to the F80, as shown in the 0-200. However, i still think that the AWD will give the F80 the faster ¼ mile time, something like a 9.2s.

doesn’t the Ferrari produce more downforce than the Mclaren? I recall that it produces more downforce at the same speed

Both of these cars are very close to the AMG one, thr F80 might be faster on track thanks to the AWD just like the 918 was.
I'm concerned that the extra weight could make the exact opposite effect of that of the LaF, since it is faster to 100 and to 200 its arleady head to head the W1 might get the advantage from there.

Both don't look too well, both go fairly fast and both have (supposedly) good aero
But you can't spec a W1 on the official website, while you can spec the F80 so the F80 wins

Hmmmmmm, my choice would be the W1. Can Ferrari just open up their minds and not hold wilderness in?

Rate my Nurburgring estimates.
F80=6:26
W1=6:31

SF90 beat Senna with AWD and crazy acceleration. it'll be interesting to see how F8 compares with a car that is way faster and similar in corners. Speed vs Traction is the real question here. I choose both cars because I will be a Ferrari fan, and the W1 is clearly the better drivers car.

I think Ferrari will not be punishing owners this time around.

I think McLaren acceleration curve will be better after 200 km/h mark as proved by the massively reduced gap in the 100 km/h - 200 km/h section. Moreover since W1 is lighter and more powerful as well, with similar downforce level than F80, i think on track will be seriously faster. Great job from McLaren engineers!

Not really surprised, but the McLaren should have better high end acceleration based on stats while I expect the Ferrari to be faster on the track.
