well,,, it's not scientific,, I own a early '86 rx-7 alum hood. I took about 400 pounds out of it,, had it ported during a rebuild (not a huge gain in this version 13B) alum flywheel, drive shaft, and full suspension,, short shifter,, full racing beat exhaust and full K/N intake. on the street,, most 323's of any year,, fade. straight away,, stop light race or a 130 mile point A/B mtn road. (i won by 14 minutes) as i said,, not at all scientific and a lot depends on drivers education etc. I have a 5 spd. and had the final gr ratio slightly lowered by mazda trip which lowers top end a little but makes it a tiny bit quicker. I have run away from quite a few cars. and with the full suspension it's very rare anyone hangs in corners with me. but,, once again,, how many of those folk have formula atlantic experience and will drive that hard into corners!
