Actually, the E comes across looking pretty good. Considering the F is FIFTY-EIGHT years newer. Lol. At 100kph, the difference in acceleration is a mere three tenths of a second. It is 29 mph faster top end, but again, well over half a century newer. And that is only of benefit for bragging rights, or if you are racing at LeMans. Most owners will never drive either one of them anywhere near that fast. The F, like most modern cars, cannot even compete with the raw visceral appeal of the Lightweight E. Nor the single minded purity of it's design and execution. There's a reason it's iconic.

You could do that, But I still think the F would win, Probably easy too, But that would be interesting to see how right or wrong I could be. The top Jags usually have a lot of wheelspin, But the F-Type supposedly had none when Car&Driver tested the fastest test of one yet, Which I find rather interesting.

Yeah, I think it would be most interesting to see the F Type on sixties tyres. The E Type would require lots of suspension tuning to make it work with modern grippy tyres or slicks.

@Fangio Man, Lol, 1960's tires on a 500hp+ Jag, that would be interesting(and smoky)... ^_^

"You could put slicks on the older car, And im sure it would still lose."

Or you put the tires from the 60s on the F-Type... :P

The best E Type vs. the most powerful F Type. Modern cars, including Jaguars, are heavier and more powerful. On a track, I suspect that with the tyres of 1964 on both cars that the E Type would win. With modern tyres: the F Type will win. Purely conjecture though since we don't have any lap times to compare. Still I think it is interesting to see the direction modern sports cars have taken. :)
