The Mercedes is better in everyway than the crap and ugly M5.
It looks better, is faster, the interior is better and is quicker at picking up speed as.
The M5 shouldn't even be compared to the E63 because it's not good enough.
The Mercedes E63 is the best 4 door saloon car in the world.

Everyone's expecting the new M5 to be the fastest 4-door. If not the fastest (Can they really beat Panamera Turbo?) then at least faster than E63. Anything less will be seen as a total failure.

Comparing an all new e63 amg to the 5-year-old M5? Ridiculous.Even then the e63 is only marginally faster. Now the new generation M5 is coming up. My condolences to the amg.

Sergio wake up its a Merc so bmw use to be better than Merc but from 2010 u can sat that Mrec is number one best car in all the word ...... I love Merc

M5 has been around for much longer than this new E63. So there are much more tests for acceleration which could explain why M5 has better acceleration figures as it stands now.
Over time, however, expect to see improved figures for E63. After all - E63 is clearly faster on tracks which is the main indicator that let's you decide which car is faster than which. And the answer given by website "Mercedes E63 AMG is noticeably faster." is accurate.
