As an b5 s4 owner i must say im biased toward the ttrs, but the 1m has 6 lap times that are quicker out of 11. The two arent direct competitors (one is 2 seats and another 4) but i can see why you would.

I don't know what to tell you Tension.
It seems you're the only one who doesn't think the 1M and TT-RS are direct competitors. And that clearly frustrates you. I feel trully sorry for you.

I dont hate audi, dont be ridiculous. I like german car industry in general, if you said that I hate some pathetic shit like peugeot, fiat or something like that youd be right, I do hate those shit buckets. its just that you cant comprehend in your audi fangirl mind that me, pointing out an obvious missmatch whilst laughing to audi fanlooneys here when they exibit their lunacy, am not being a fan or hater, Im just being realistic. its you, its not me lol.....

@Tension
The difference is we like BMWs and Audis, you love BMWs with a passion and obviously hate Audis...
That said, it seems the 1M is faster around the track then the TT-RS, but I never argued the Audi beat it on the track, I just said they were competitors.

Not all tracks are the same and it's going to come down to the driver and the type of track.

They appear pretty even to me, with the TT-RS being quicker in acceleration.

@Apathy: add 0,5 to the lower acceleration times of the TT-RS and see where you end up. Also Fifth Gear did a comparo for the norma TFSI TT with dsg vs manual and there the dsg car beat the manual by 0,5 sec around a track even with a full speed across tthe startline.

The manual TT-RS is quicker in acceleration. I don't know about around tracks, as everyone has used the DSG for track times.

(and no i'm not a bmw fan nor an Audi hater)

well, now you are gonna be labeled as one because anyone who shows just even a speck of clear common sense against the audi here gets attacked by these lol audi looneys here (both unconcealed and latent audi fangirls lol)

With the manual the TT-RS would not win against the 1M and when it comes to fun i think the 1M is still the better option. A z4m would be faster AND much nicer as it also doubles as a roadster. (and no i'm not a bmw fan nor an Audi hater)

they are not direct competitors. just bcs journalists are comparing them doesnt make em so. direct competitor to ttrs would be z4m. and thats an end of it.

I don't see how they aren't direct competitors.

They're both each manufacturer's top of the line compact coupe, with a tiny rear seat. They both embody the essence of their respective manufacturer and they're both focused on performance and fun.

They seem like they're direct competitors to me (and that's all that matters in MY book).

No, because it is a direct competitor to the 1M coupe, but Tension doesn't think it is at all.
