I agree, the Corvette "smokes" cars that are much, much, much, much more expensive. For example: Mercedes SL65 (Black Series), Ferrari 599, Koenigsegg CC, and in this case the Enzo.

Don't make lame excuses for the Enzo. Even with its age, it's still one of the fastest cars on the planet, and if you honestly think the ZR1 is the more track-focused of the two, you're delusional. All it takes is one look to tell which one was built for performance above all else, and it most certainly isn't the ZR1.
As for the LaFerrari, of course it's going to be faster than the next ZR1. For $1mil+, it damn well better be. Plus, the next Top Dog Corvette will have, at most, 750hp, and that's being generously optimistic. Not to mention it will be significantly heavier than the LaFerrari. That comparison doesn't even make sense.

those lap times was for the 2008 ZR1. the 2012 ZR1 with PTM and Cup tires is significantly faster than the 08 models.

Hmmm.... Compares a 2002 car to a 2008 car ?Ok! Some people says Enzo costs 5x than Corvette! In 5 years (2017),maybe a Enzo costs 10x than Corvette alright ? Ferrari have a different philosophy. And more, Enzo have others variants,like a track versions like FXX and FXX Evoluzione and Maserati MC12 an MC12 Corsa.All these variants have better performance in track than Ferrari Enzo !

No, the ZR1 was running 7:40's with two F430's tied to it's back wheels pulling the other way. When they took them off, it did 7:26.
