SLS Electric Drive now is officially the fastest production EV around the Nordschleife. The result did not impress me at all. Looks not fast enough. Panamera Turbo S, which has much less power/torque and weighs only about 100 kg less, driven by Horst von Saurma, lapped the ring 4 seconds quicker than this SLS EV.

Anyway, I don't consider this car as a ruined SLS, even though it is, I consider SLS EV as the ultimate electric vehicle. Even though I absolutely hate electric engines, and even though this electrified SLS is a step down in comparison to the petrol SLS, I feel I like that car.

Anyway, petrol > electricity.

Well, duuuh, fossil fuels, especially gasoline will always beat electricity as a fuel for automobiles.
@ Iggz: Me neither, I don't even take them seriously, they're like Power Wheels toys for adults, some people like them, I say more power to them, that leaves more gasoline for the rest of us, gasoline has always allowed for longer trips and higher speeds, that's why it was chosen as the nearly universal fuel choice for automobiles, electric powered cars were sold in quantity here in the U.S. up until 1930 when everyone decided to go with gas.

the SLS electric is more of an engeneering excersice on developing high preformance electric cars, that's why it costs so much

If i didnt have to spend huge money for an electric car with performance anywhere close to that (im talking about up to 50k usd) i would seriously consider it. But as long as those high performance electro cars remain a publicity stunt i dont really care about them

Petrol engines still are better performance choice.
