Cadillac CTS-V vs Porsche Panamera Turbo

These two cars are the most often-compared non-German Three performance sedans. (I know Porsche counts as German, but it isn’t technically part of the German Three.)

The Panamera has 64 hp less and weighs a fraction more, yet still manages to win comfortable on track!

Lunch at Le Bernardin in Manhattan = $50-$70 minimum.

Lunch 317ft away at McDonald's = $5.

They both fill your stomach (temporarily) but people who are willing to pay more will gladly do so for the better quality.

CTS-V = $75K

Panamera Turbo S = $175K

Using the definition of "sedan" as defined by the SAE (Society Of Automotive Engineers), the Porsche is a SEDAN. The fact that it has a hatch has no bearing on the definition of sedan.

Also, the Panamera Turbo's 0-60mph time is 3.3sec not 3.4sec.

I´m wrong to say that Panamera is a notchback,sorry my bad! Notchback is a Sedan 2 door or a 3 box style of body.

Sorry, but a Panamera isnt a real sedan.
Its a 4 door liftback or notchback like a Renault Laguna,Mercedes CLS,Audi A7,Lexus GS etc...

PDK with sport chrono 0-62 official claims.
Panamera Turbo: 4.0
Panamera Turbo S: 3.8

Both are faster in that metric and in any other one.

PS: For the CTS-V, the 4.2 here is 0-60 and with roll out, the 0-100mph is also with roll out.

The Panamera Turbo PDK not only beats the CTS-V in straight line performance, it beats the ZO6 in most magazine tests. The Panamera Turbo crushes the CTS-V because of decades newer technology such as the PDK. BTW, the Panamera Turbo PDK beats the CTS-V on the track as well. Manual Transmission PRODUCTION Cars are OBSOLETE.

Well, I did some research about the Panamera Turbo curious to see if it really was faster than the Cadillac. Which it is not. Unfortunately Porsche USA .com claims the Panamera Turbo does 0-60 in 4 seconds. While Cadillac.com claims 3.9 seconds with their supercar. In comparing the 2 super sedans on the straight away from a stop, the cts proved to win every time.

You didn\'t do enough research. Read the road test from Car and Driver. 0-60mph is much quicker than 4.0 and is much quicker than ANY stock CTS-V test.

O PS: Claiming doesnt mean shit! The Turbo is Faster simply because it has a claimed 27.Cd and a super fast PDK Dual clutch, which works in it favor over the Caddys 56bhp and 35lb ft Gain over it. but i do believe that Porsche\'s claim of 500bhp is Underated, i suspect its pushing out more then Porsche is claiming.

Both cars are fast as shit, theres no arguing that, But anybody whos knows anything, know Damn Well no Stock CTS- si gonna get to 300kmh in 35s, THAT IS FACT! in the 40s Range is possible, but 35s is HIGHLY UN believable, simply because of the fcat that it Will NOT do it that fast, 4198lbs, and a Cd.34 n 556bhp isnt going to get the car up there that fast, face the facts, its Fast, no doubt, but actually saying 35s is just incredibly stupid.
