Top 100 fastest cars and bikes in quarter mile (1/4 mile) 2022
Quarter mile times need no explanation. The 402 meter (sometimes erroneously referred to as "400 meter") sprint is the most popular discipline in professional drag racing and street car testing alike.
Most dedicated dragstrips in United States were built specifically for the 1/4 racing and 1/4 mile remains as leading distance-based acceleration benchmark in automotive testing.
Despite its roots in imperial measurement system (based on miles instead of meters), 1/4 mile is also popular in continental Europe and other parts of the world where metric system is used.
1/4 mile is also used in motorcycle drag racing and testing as it suits motorcycles well, due to the limited length and terminal speeds that do not favour vehicles with very high top speed.
This list is limited by available data and new vehicles will be added as new data arrives.

This list seems incomplete. Why wouldn't a Hayabusa make the list? They have been running mid-9's for about 20 years. I don't own a 2020, but I'd have to assume it's in the low-to-mid 9's, since they shaved weight and added HP.
