Judging by 1/4 mile, its more like a 12.5 0-200kph car like a folk here said years ago

@ monkeypop: There you go, beats looking at a poster anyday, when the 4 door Dodge Charger first came out, my dad wanted to buy one just so he can look at, he couldn't drive because cancer was eating away at his right femur.

....When is 3800Lbs light?...

And the 0-200Kph is just a conservative claim, most likely it will do Mid-High 11s.

But as Looks go, Its "Pretty" much the Best Looking, Most Prettiest car in the last 13 years, Better looking than ANY 911, Any Corvette, Anything the French have, or ever, Italains too(Excluding Zonda C12-F Cinque)

Astons Torque is becoming very "Italian" Audi as well. And they have also gon very Leary with the color schemes, Astons use to come in Dark damp brit colors, now youcan get bright oranges and blues, in Mattes too!

This cars better lookng then the DBS for crying out loud!

as good looking as it is. the performance is as bad as usual. i dont get why aston martin doesnt manage to be at least decently fast. thats nowhere near 579hp, 620nm and 1739kg.

"The top speed is limited to 295 kph because the automatic transmission. Every new Aston (just look at the new DB9) is limited to 295 kph to protect the auto tranny and Aston doesn't offer manual transmissions in their new models."

And that's becoming even more annoying! Besides here we got very identical looking exteriors, they've made even absolutely the same performance of their cars! And I'm pretty sure that all they offer you the same options. Then what's actually the sense of buying $279,995 Vanquish, if you can buy only a bit worse DB9 with $187,515 price? GIVE US OLD GOOD MANUAL ASTONS WITHOUT THESE STUPID LIMITS!

@BR2,
Have you got any information about the gear ratios?
Because the low top speed is not the consequence of the gear ratios in this car. The top speed is limited to 295 kph because the automatic transmission. Every new Aston (just look at the new DB9) is limited to 295 kph to protect the auto tranny and Aston doesn't offer manual transmissions in their new models.

0-200Kph will be in the 11s with a serious test...buuut being an AM, my expectatins may be too high(Even thoiugh they shouldnt) this has Very short gears, mixed with 565Bhp and 305 rear tyres, i suspect a magazine tet would get mid-high 11s thru the 1/4, Pro draggers faster(But its not ike they would take this car to there strip..)

Still, Id commit male sodomy if only i could have this Beautiful car.

0-200 kph: 13,9 s sounds too slow. It surely have to be below 12.5, whether DBS's result is 12.7 s.

Very pretty, but it would have looked even better if they didnt use the DB9/Virage platform, I really dont think they should have even called it Vanquish, maybe a Virage S...

Strangely it has slower max speed but for the body look, it looks more streamlined than the old one.

Another beautiful Aston Martin. Their designers seem to be incapable of making anything ugly. Expensive cars unfortunately, so I will never buy one. I see quite a few DB9 Volantes in Napa, but the Astons never fail to be stunning every time I see one. How are they when driven aggressively? My only experience was with a DB7 Vantage V12, and it was really similar to a Jaguar XK8 in handling (similar platform), so I don't know what the newer Astons are like. I am just curious, since I can't afford one.

I dont know man, it just doesnt do it for me. The tiny spoiler int he back looks cosmetic and not functional even if it is. Looks like an after thought, and those tail lights look a bit weird to me.

It is a Beautiful car, from any angle, However, i do think Aston has lost a bit of its Beautiful-Ness in the past "Few" years..

Not too mention ALL there cars look the same, Im not one bit surprised the Virage has ceased production, but why pay 200k when you can get the V8 Vantage that looks EXACTLY the same?....

If only they would do something new, such a bore recently..

Look at the back and tell me it is anywhere near goodlooking as the DB9 or DBS or even the previous Vanquish! It looks plain weird. It hasn't grown on me one bit.

Heck, how it could be ugly?! Very beautiful car from any angle!

Aston is no going to redesign it anyhow soon, and Vanquish is already put into the production.

Whats up with the ugly rear end of this car. Its an Aston Martin for God's sake? Has the world gone mad? They need to redesign the rear end before they put this into production. PLEASE ASTON!
