Throwback to an unreleased June 2007 test by Motor Trend (they never revealed the numbers in a magazine because they came from a prototype and they were not allowed to launch the car hard):

0-60 mph: 4.89 sec
0-100 mph: 10.25 sec
0-1/4 mile: 13.14 sec @ 121.09 mph

0-200 is 13.1-13.2. Road & Track had best quarter at 12.34 118. 118-125 in .36 seconds is like 0-60 in 3.5 at a speed when acceleration really slows down.

The M6 is pretty close, in terms of performance...

There are no main competitors. The Aston Martin looks more gorgeous than anything trying to "rival" with it. Cars are more than just performance.

User avatar

BumRush  11y ago

I herd it takes 50s to hit 250mph

User avatar

Yaspaa  11y ago

It's top speed is only 9kph over 300kph so that's daft, how long does it take the veyron to hit 245mph?

User avatar

Anonymous  11y ago

Useless, who you kiddin? id but that in a heartbeat!!

I found a time for 0 - 300 KM/h : 64,1s. Totally useless and overpriced car for the engine it has. Looks good, doesn't like speed.
Don't have anything other than: http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/e60-m5-e61-m5-touring-discussion/125774-video-nardo-top-speed-test.html .

I agree. People never seem to relise that an Aston Martin is more about style and engineering than outright performance. They're designed to be a comfortable but quick grand tourers not a track day car.

I must say if you buy and aston martin it is like buying and B&O Speaker. You might get something with much more performance, say a 599 GTB or even a California. But it is just good looking and sexy. and alot of people prefer it to the 599, like Tiff Neidel and Clarkson.

User avatar

the data are 100% correct

http://www.astonmartin.com/eng/thecars/dbs/specification

470hp DB9 topspeed is 190mph

http://www.astonmartin.com/eng/thecars/db9/specification

Aston Martin knows the best what their cars can do..

User avatar

Anonymous  11y ago

Top speed is crap, the 450bhp DB9 does 192mph, so this is more likely 200mph even, give or take, and weight is 3479 (R&T).

User avatar

Anonymous  11y ago

that top speed is not right, th 450bhp DB9 does 192mph/309kmh, so this id definetly faster.

User avatar

Anonymous  11y ago

i can agree that this and the CLK Black are rivals, but there no where near in price.

User avatar

Rayman  11y ago

Arnold beniot and william nottage, stop whinning like little bitches and accept the fact that this is a brilliant car, wankers, go suck eachother off, dickheads

User avatar

Rayman  11y ago

i think the main rival is the Merc clk 63 amg black series, both around the same money and o-60 and top speed times

User avatar

anonymous  12y ago

yeah, right cya.

User avatar

Anonymous  12y ago

dude, get over it, the p2 never went into production, it was merly a highly working concept car..

User avatar

FastestLaps  12y ago

Did not remove Prodrive P2. But the person who did it clearly knew what he was doing and why.

User avatar

anonymous  12y ago

the sportka does 0 - 100kph in 9.4 secs not 10.4

User avatar

anonymous  12y ago

I HATE YOU, FASTESTLAPS! WHY DID YOU DELETE THE PRODRIVE P2???

User avatar

anonymous  12y ago

would fastestlaps stop deleting my lap time for the prodrive p2 on tg track as it is a true time!!!

User avatar

anonymous  12y ago

i thought you meant the prodrive p2, sorry, i didn't know you meant the Overfinch, and now i think about it, i know i'm wrong, but i think the p2 was a production car for a very short period.

User avatar

FastestLaps  12y ago

I am not talking about Aston DBS. Obviously it's not a tuned car. I am talking about Overfinch range Rover that I just had to remove. And Prodrive P2 I think never went into production, or did it?

User avatar

anonymous  12y ago

its not a tuned car.

User avatar

FastestLaps  12y ago

You haven't red the site rules, have you? We do not accept tuned/modified cars.

User avatar

anonymous  12y ago

can u change the track to top gear track on the prodrive p2
