@ G2: Wow, a 1980 Audi had all that?!, I didn't know they had cruise control in 1980, amazing car, I like it's classic good looks, too.

Georg,
Your comment is about right. However, the 200 5T came fully loaded for the time. I had a 1980 model that had electic sun roof, electric windows, 6 speaker sterio, cruise control, heated seats, reading lights on all passenger doors, 3 cigar lighters, plus loads of other stuff. Better than that, it went like the wind and wiped its arse on Rover 3500 SD1s and Ford Granarda 2.8s. Damn, wish I had kept that car - awesome!

in the 1970´s early 1980´s cars were much lighter than today... no side impact protection, no heavy pointless luxury goodies, no electric powered this and that... engine tranny chassie seats wheels radio and if lucky a aircon

one word to more power...
the 1970´s Skyline 2000 GT-R was less powerfull and slower
from a todays poit of few nearly all cars of the past were low on power.. in it´s day this was a very quick sedan...

I am very surprised that it only weighs 1260 kg. It's the grandaddy of a legend and it looks great.
