@Vette/Viper Yep, I agree performance cars are definitely getting overweight. It is a trend. My dad's 1994 Mustang GT weighs 3400 lbs, and my 2011 Mustang GT weighs just over 3600 lbs. At this rate there will be a 4000 lb Lotus in a few years.

3,400+ lbs? Am I wrong or every car seems to be gaining weight these days?From a sub 3,100lbs C5 Vette to a 3,400lbs ZR1...

And now 3,00+ lbs Audi TT

I dont know where this world is heading to.If they keep the trend we'll be seeing 4,000lbs as the standard for a sports car in the next couple of years.
