As fast as the M240i is, it's obvious how fast the upcoming M2 is gonna be. If I take the seperation to the M4 into account, I predict the base will be around 415-420 PS, followed by the Competition with 450-460 PS. Both doing 4.1 and 3.8 seconds with the 8 speed auto respectively. The CS might even almost hit M4 Competition numbers, but I highly doubt it's gonna be over 500. My guesses are 490 PS with a 0-100 in 3.7 seconds.

I believe M2 was, is, and will always be ahead of the RS3 A45 group because those cars are rivals to the 1 series hatchback but they also offer sedan versions and the fact that we don't have an M145i with some 400hp from BMW
Comparing 2 series to RS3 or A45 is like comparing Audi RS6 and Merc E class to BMW 760li or RS5 and C63 to M550i
