@Lello75 proof that AWD doesn’t always mean faster laptimes

@RickyAstle98 do you have the two Sport Auto supertests this car took place in (09/2021) and (05/2022)? And if so could you provide them here?
Many Thanks

Remember the CSL is on CUP2'R' tyres , I had these on my M4 Comp XDrive and did at least 9 seconds quicker laps around the Ring and 2 seconds more on every other track than street 4S or PZero ... so if you factor this into the times then the M4 Comp Xdrive on Cup2 R and a professional racing driver ( that can take much better use of the CUP2R ) is VERY VERY close to CSL times if not even beating it ....!!!

Interesting read for those interested in a BMW model release schedule for the next decade.

Brake test.

Like I said, I hadn't seen until 12 minutes ago, BMW never backs down. I'm hearing rumours of the next generation.

Tuned, yes above, people can afford it. I know Evolve Automotive, it's good business.

Current generation looking good regardless LOL!

1000hp BMW M4 Competition vs something with double the cylinders and turbochargers?

BMW backs down from nobody.

I don’t fully understand the xDrive for the M sport competition cars. Is it evenly distributed AWD that can be turned on and off at will, or is it permanent stability control for increased traction?

What the f*ck? Faster than the M4 Comp RWD? O.o

User avatar

hostboy  4y ago

The AWD version is kinda pointless. It's not any faster than the RWD one. It feels more like an M440i with extra power. It's also EXTREMELY expensive!

This BMW is keeping up with the 911 4gts despite being a 480 front engined 4 seater… and it has only 30 hp more, with an overall worse power/weight ratio. The dynamic qualities of this BMW are truly incredible and as an all-rounder it’s even better than the Porsche. I love the Porsche but this BMW is truly a marvel

BMW are masters of engineering, have been for decades and dynamic qualities too including acceleration. Throw in top notch builld quality and reliability and from memory good residuals then you can't go wrong.

This one is quick as hell too.

Just, well to my mind the front asethetics are grossly exaggerated. I'm sure I can look past it, if not quite at it!
