CARWOW!>SEXY METRICS BMW M4 CSL versus ALFA ROMEO GUILIA GTA!

Sarcasm is very definitely present, for my friend LOL!😂

(And I hope the Alfa takes it, but probably wont!)

User avatar

Corvolet3  1w ago

CSL sent the Italian to Gapplebees. As expected

User avatar

TypeF173  1w ago @Corvolet3

Damn. Nevermind. They need something new now!

User avatar

Corvolet3  1w ago @TypeF173

For a car in the price range of a GT3 they REALLY need to get their shit together.

User avatar

TypeF173  1w ago @Corvolet3

Absolutely agree, the platform is aging and they want Porsche money? Not possible really, but the diehards will always buy them.

User avatar

Corvolet3  1w ago @TypeF173

Agreed. At least they're similar from a dig, even if it's kinda mid.

User avatar

TypeF173  1w ago @Corvolet3

Post deleted.

User avatar

Cocobe  1w ago @Corvolet3

well, it's a limited car, so it'll keep its value pretty well.

on another note, so the Alfa supposed to have the same power, weighs less, yet gets totally walked by the BMW even if the BMW gets a bad launch.

There is no way that BMW has less than 600hp.

User avatar

Corvolet3  1w ago @Cocobe

I'm starting to think so too. The Alfa as itself is not bad, I just think it could be better. Cause the way I see it, if anything it has similar performance to a 14 year old Ferrari 430 Scuderia. On the track at least.

User avatar

Corvolet3  1w ago @TypeF173

Not really. But if I had to guess, considering I have estimated 0-300 times of EVERY single BMW M3/M5 right now, 35 or 36 seconds should sound legit? Closer to 36 seconds at least.

The regular Alfa QV should be around 40/41 seconds.

User avatar

TypeF173  1w ago @Corvolet3

Aye, that's fine 40 +/- isn't to bad!🙂

User avatar

Corvolet3  1w ago @TypeF173

Would make sense to me at least.
Btw have a little sheet for clarification

User avatar

Nice, very nice! But G, the M4 was putting out 600hp nearly at the wheels!😮

That's what 670hp+!

BMW M4 CSL Makes Nearly 600 HP on a Dyno
BMW rates the new car at 543 hp.

https://www.roadandtrack.com/news/a41614326/bmw-m4-csl-dyno/

"Just as the sun rises and sets, BMW publishes conservative horsepower and torque figures. The German owner of a new M4 CSL put their car on the dyno and got an astonishing result—596 hp and 531 lb-ft of torque. BMW, for reference, advertises the M4 CSL at 543 hp and 479 lb-ft.

It's better for automakers to under, rather than overrate horsepower to avoid false advertising, but we can't help but wonder how BMW arrives at its power and torque figures. Is its dyno on the top of the mountain? Do engineers turn the heat to 120 degrees? Does whoever is responsible for publishing final figures just subtract 10 percent? Who knows. What we do know is that it is routine for BMWs to make far more power than advertised. Dyno tests from last year on the standard 473-hp M3 suggested that the car probably makes more like 547 hp at the crankshaft, so it's no surprise the CSL—which ups the boost pressure on the M4's straight-six to over 30 psi—makes damn near 600 hp.

This also explains why the M4 CSL is so fast. BMW cut out an additional 240 pounds from the M4 Competition for a 3640 curb weight. The power-to-weight ratio on the CSL is far better than the Competition, and when you add super-sticky Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires to the mix, you have a potent machine."

BMW M4 CSL at Nevers Magny-Cours Club!

User avatar

Corvolet3  1m ago

BMW M4 CSL estimated performance:

0-100: 3.7 seconds
0-160: 7.3 seconds
0-200: 10.7 seconds
0-250: 17.6 seconds
0-300: 32.2 seconds

I imagine it to take a while for takeoff compared to other 500+ hp sports cars, but after 200 it should be able to reel in a 911 GT3 and even the M8 Competition over 250 kph.

BMW M4 CSL GPS verified figures from the French Motorsport Magazine!😃

Km/h
0-100= 3.7 seconds.
0-200= 10.9 seconds.
1000m= 20.3 seconds.

100km/h matches factory manufacturer claims 200kmh 0.2 seconds down accordingly to their measurements.

My favorite BMW of all time is this the 2022 BMW M4 CSL. What a time at the green hell it competes with the best of Porsche and Mercedes. Just wow 543 hp and 479 torque is quite a lot. Happy 55th anniversary to the BMW M division.

On the Nurburgring laptimes list you should post the 7:20 min laptime, they state the 7:15 min merely as a marketing tool. All other cars listed are only (20.832 km). Especially Porsches:)
