BUGATTI CHIRON SUPERSPORT 0-273MPH (electronically limited) speed calculation.
0-249MPH Bugatti claim= 28.6 seconds plus~
249-273MPH=10.05 seconds pre production prototype's Ehra-Lessien frame by frame measurements= 10.05 seconds so 28.6+10.05= 38.65 seconds POTENTIALITY.
I was in two minds whether to use the ppp timings but it wasn't for a huge stretch, and nothing else is available anyway.
She could go quicker or slower but I'm not sure we'll ever see it!
Based on her kerbweight that's VERY impressive. Finest "GT" production hypercar EVER.

We know she's quick as absolute HELL but I'm not really interested in that. They have been since 2005. I wanted to know MORE, more about the steering feel, the ride and refinement and dynamic repotoire, the real World things and sometimes asking the even owners is useless as they are very obviously biased!
Quote>"The steering is medium weighted, nicely geared at 2.2 turns between locks, electrically assisted and with a good blend of response and stability around the straight-ahead position."
"At any speed and mode, the Chiron rides firmly, with tremendous body control and precious little roll. Yet the steering builds weight as cornering forces increase, so there’s something reassuring to lean on in bends. The balance is good and feedback strong – not always a given in a four-wheel-drive car."
"The Super Sport is wide and, at nearly two tonnes, heavy, but it’s pleasing to drive as a sports car."
"The car is sensationally fast. Uncomfortably fast. Absurdly fast."
"Braking is exceptional, too."
Etc.
Well done Molsheim. Matt has driven just about everything, and if he's stating that, then good!
Anyway I'll be doing alot of this type of research and sharing and if anyone has any "requests" I'll do my best to accommodate them subject to time constraints.
One of the finest and my absolute second to none favourites is next!

0-273MPH PRODUCTION Bugatti Chiron Supersport based on 0-217MPH from Car and Driver Magazine plus 217-273MPH based on simulations corrected equals= 44.44 seconds!
I'm not stating the number for the Ehra-Lessien pre production prototype testing, here. It's too wild in comparison! LOL!👑

Quote>"As two of the world’s most renowned hypercar manufacturers embark on an all-new era under the Bugatti Rimac joint company, a new innovation hub in Berlin expands its European footprint. Focused on the design and engineering of future Bugatti Rimac technologies and products, the Berlin-based team will work hand-in-hand with colleagues at the Bugatti Rimac HQ in Zagreb, overseen by newly-announced Bugatti Rimac Design Director, Achim Anscheidt, and Bugatti Rimac CTO, Emilio Scervo."
Etc.
Absolutely incredible news. I'll be concentrating a little more on Rimac for the foreseeable future but Bugatti will never be too far away, even if it's elsewhere. ;)

So I emailed Zeperfs because I noticed they hadn't added the figures from the recent Car and Driver Magazine test for the Bugatti Chiron Supersport. Obviously I scanned in proof and results.
Well they only added 0-100km/h and the 1/4 mile times!😂
The top speed is the pre production prototype maximum velocity and the rest of the figures are Bugatti manufacturer claims for acceleration!
I trust a full panel km/h test will be done but I'm not hopeful!

I know I already posted these estimated results on the 300+ page, but these results are just as valid on the 'restricted' SS page. The only difference is that the SS is limited to 440kph (273mph).
This is NOT the same as the difference between the Absolut and a standard Jesko.

Supersport
1/4 mile= 9.1@161MPH
1/2 mile= 14.1@197MPH
3/4 mile= 18.5@217MPH
1/4-1/2= +36MPH
1/2-3/4= +20MPH
Sport
1/4= 158MPH
1/2= 190MPH
1 mile= 227MPH
1/4-1/2= 32MPH
1/2-1 mile= 37MPH
Comparison
1/4= 158-161= 3MPH
1/2= 190-197= 7MPH
^^ Verified. No 3/4 for Sport or 1 mile for Supersport.
Off the cuff speculation Supersport 3/4 217MPH plus 20MPH benchmarked 237MPH as a START point for the Bugatti Chiron Supersport.
Aerodynamics are critically important over 186MPH.
The speeds could rise as high as 244MPH theoretically. Plus -/+ 3MPH.

Quote>"Money can't buy more time on earth."😢
Those are the first words of the review below. All I'll say is our collective time here is very fleeting indeed. What was, becomes history and you are left with sadness tears and memories. Hold on to both. What is and what was. That's all I'll state.

Quote>"Bugatti has revealed the next addition to its diversifying Chiron range, introducing the new Chiron Super Sport that combines the low-drag body and clean design of the record-breaking 300+ with luxury elements designed to accentuate its GT characteristics. This new model will be built in addition to the 30 Chiron Super Sport 300+ models, with 60 units scheduled for production in Molsheim, France, later this year."
You might not care, but that's 90 Bugatti Chiron Supersport's altogether. That's a significant chunk of the 500 Bugatti Chiron production run. Whether you include the "specials" like the Bugatti Divo/Noire/Centodeici or not.
On balance the Supersport GT is the pick of the bunch. The interiors are exquisite.

Quote>"We therefore set the boost pressure regulation more finely in the last three gears,” explains Marco Schulte. As a result, the boost pressure dips only minimally during a gear change in order to immediately offer the full boost pressure of 2.8 bar again."
Source=
2.8 bar equals FORTY psi just over.
I'll leave it there.

I mean I Love Bugatti, but sometimes I don't.
Ostentatious. And I very SELDOM use that word to describe anything let alone them, albeit by brand extensions.
