Can it be a wagon? This thing is some 30-70mm in length short of an Audi A4 or Octavia of the last 10 years. Feels wrong to call it compact imo lol.

I see your point. Maybe we ought to create more appropriate labels? Like crossover is a pretty widely accepted definition now. Or perhaps start combining two definitions together, instead of forcing singular choices? Such as, compact SUV, compact wagon, crossover suv, etc?

I can see why you're doing it, but the limit is very low for the sheer number of different cars out there I think. I would consider that Malibu a saloon, and the label 'Compact saloon' is much more appropriate for that kind of car, vs 'Compact' alone which implies a much shorter, nearly hot hatch type of car which similarly, isn't nearly 5m long lol.

Revamping/expanding the car body style section is a serious pain in the ass. There are 27,000 pages on this website. You'd have to do it individually. Pickup got split from SUV last year and its not even 10% done yet, and ive done literally all of mine.

I recognise that. At the same time, my point of raising this is it doesn't change that it's still a bit misleading in certain scenarios like this lol.

Anyway, it's not my pie to bake here. I'm not going to volunteer myself for that 😂 but I do think that car types should be a bit more organic, if not now, at some point in the future. Especially with ambiguous cars like this BYD that cross like 5 different definitions depending on what angle you look at it from. Lmao.
