Ok, it has tons of power and torque and its top notch technology, but.... does a 4 cylinder suit a real Cadillac? The answer is no.

Also, the 10 speed box seems like was imagined in marketing reps head, not by engineer. You simply don't need 10 gears. It's just to make it big number to have something impressive on the spec sheet.

Imagine a 10-speed manual :D

Like driving an 18 wheeler truck...

Think about how silly it is for a 1.6 tonne car which has 310 horsepower turbo engine to have 10 gear ratios. What for?? It would have almost the same acceleration with 5 gears, and would only give up tiny bit of fuel efficiency.

The 9th and the 10th gears are overdrives for fuel and have nothing to do with the performance.

They could have just stretched the other gears more to get the same (or tiny bit higher) rpm at highway cruise speed. Fuel efficiency loss would be negligible and performance loss would be very small too.

But they had to come up with 10 speed box, to boost the spec sheet and give dealers talking point when prospective buyers ask why/how is this car better than its German rivals...

Yeah a 10 speed box is overkill and pointless and does bugger all that an 8 speed achieves. What's next, an 11 or 12 speed box? Idiotic
