Now now, if the Ferrari 458 did a 1/4 mile in 10.8 about 10 years ago and the C7 Z06 wasn't slower to that time, I'm certain the new Z06 can do a 10.6 without much effort. I think it's fair to compare it acceleration wise to a Lamborghini Huracan, maybe even the Performante.

The problem is 458 never did 10s outside magazine tests(or one test only)
Best it had was low 11s and I don't think it's capble of beating something like Gallardo LP570 or Murci SV in 1/4 mile both with some 11.1s in real world not magazine tests(well in LP570's case, Gallardo STS did an 11.1 which is essentialy the same car with more aero parts)

I don't want to be too much of a fanboy but I don't think C7 Z06 is gonna be comparable with Performante since Performante has done some impressive numbers
100-200 km/h in 5.75 secs(~6.7 sec 60-130 mph)
As for normal Huracan well it's not that far from Performante but it's closer to Z06 to an extent that if the Huracan driver shortshifts, Z06 can actually win the roll but if they both race perfectly I think Huracan will take it

This may be the case, but the C7 Z06 still was seen beating the 458 Italia. Obvious age difference and probably the 8 speed auto but still:

 

I never said the C7 Z06 is comparable with the Huracan either. It's actually pretty close to the 570-4 as seen in various tests. If we take the new mid engine design into account and the much better launch control with the DCT, I think we would have a good competitor to it.

At World's Greatest Drag Race the C8 Z51 could keep up from the launch with a Ferrari F8 Tributo. At least on the first few meters. I don't think the C8 Z06 will beat it but it should definitely hang with the Lambo.

Actually, it would make sense to trust more magazine tests than youtubers.
Of those tests when the 458 and 570SL were tested together, I recall 2. One was a French Motorsport magazine, where Ferrari and Lambo were deadly equal. 0-100, 0-200 and quarter, all the same, even the measured weight was about the same. The second test was Autobild Sportscars, there the 458 was only slightly faster than Lambo, 0-100 by 0.1 second and 0-200 by 0.2.
So I personally have my doubts that the 570SL is faster in "real life" They're about equal at best.

I think that on a straight line the Turbo S will still win thanks to AWD/the massive torque, but on a track I think the z06 could take it. I mean, on p4s tyres they might be very close but I suspect that the z06 could win thanks to the more extreme setup. On cup2R the z06 should win easily, on the track it could probably rival the performances of the 991.2 GT2RS/720s/488 Pista, for 1/3 of the price. Sure the 911 Turbo S will retain its title as the best daily driver but the z06 will be the best bargain in terms of performance/money. Also, the aspirated engine is something really rare these days, so kudos to Chevrolet
