I remember when great muscle cars were....Affordable, You could be a 17yr old kid working part time at mcdonalds and still be able to afford a great muscle car, Now? You have to be wealthy to even afford a mid tere one...

My main thought about the Demon... I hope it can achieve a faster lap time at Nurburgring than the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE's 7:16 Lap Time!

User avatar

That is so f u c ked up for you to post that n show images like that, You really are nothing but utter garbage

The hellcat was mediocre at best compared to say a Camaro in terms of handling. The Demon's springs were designed to be much softer to aid weight transfer to the rear wheels in a drag race. Not for mid-corner grip

Excellent points Saxy. However, some journalists have found the Hellcat to have a GT character when driven with restraint ; and Dodge says this car is more refined and agile than a Hellcat in street mode. It is nose heavy- much like a Continental Supersports - and lateral skidpad acceleration should be a similar .95-.97. These. big cars certainly have room for rear seats that dwarf those of most Astons.

But most GT cars nowadays are very comfy and handle very well. This car is literallly meant to only go in a straight line, doesn't matter if you put proper front wheels on, the suspension, weight distribution etc won't be ideal.

840 bhp on 100 or higher octane ideally with the skinny front tires and race kit. Put the wide front tires on and 91 octane in the tank and you have an immensely powerful GT car with 808 bhp.Provided you buy the seats back lol. Actually an 808 bhp version with all its seats and an amazing stereo would be better and legal on dragstrips. The current 1 seat version just reminds me of an M4 GTS for the dragstrip.

Doodle is really throwing out some bullshite claims from a non stock Challenger

User avatar

Well at least its being built in this neck of the woods. The transbrake, drag suspension and special tires should help. Obviously the show version has drag wheels up front. Definitely a high 2 second car to sixty.

Top Speed is limited to 168 mph according to top gear

2.3s to 60? BS

User avatar

Karl  2y ago

Btw, is that drag radial is any good for track race?

User avatar

Disappointed big time, This is nothing but Dodge enforcing that 70s American stereotype.

I'm fine with the power, 840bhp n 770lb ft, And those times weren't doneven with stock equipment. And you can have the rear seats removed, Yet have them fitted back in for Literally a single dollar per seat Lolololol

Just pains me to see this to be honest, No more Viper, Now this crappy? Dodge might as well be Mitsubishi now as far as I'm concerned.

Here's the link:

I'm pretty sure that was production number not weight. 3000 for USA, 300 for Canada. 9.90 sec with over 130 mph is without race fuel mode.

User avatar

Fastedee  2y ago

Also its apparently 5 mph faster than a Veyron SS in the 1/8th mile lmao.

User avatar

Fastedee  2y ago

Realistically it could be a little lighter than the Hellcat with a mid 10 second quarter and 10 flat 0-200

User avatar

Fastedee  2y ago

What's more amusing was the earlier data claiming it would go from 125-129 mph in 4 seconds lol
