This car, compared with its successors, was actually very hardcore with its racing pedigree. Basically, the McLaren Senna of its time.

7:30 bone stock around the 20.8km mark. I've not tested any of its successors, but I do believe the 430 Scuderia and 458 Speciale both will be around that ballpark under varying conditions (I could be a bit liberal with my 430 estimate, and a bit conservative with my 458 estimate). I think only the 488 Pista, the SF90 XX, and an equivalent 296 version would actually be able to outlap this thing if I were to build Automation mods with their specifications.

7:30 @ 20,832 m with a softcore downforce setup
6:58 @ 20,832 m with a hardcore downforce setup

@ BR2+: Great sounding cars, I especially love the sound of a Maserati's 4.7 liter V8. :)

Wonderful exhausts.

But I forgot to mention another very worthy candidate - 4.7 Alfa 8C Competizione! Magical!

Also, I want to include in list MP4 12C TwinTurbo V8. Personally, I like it very much!

More to come..

@Shaggy

The Tvr Cerbera has been around since 1996-2003, the Speed6 to the 4.2 to the 4.5(RRLW) and a 4.5 is as fast as a ZO6 in acceleration(Or Just about)

@Mental

I was gonna add the AJ 5.0 V8 from the XKR 5.0(Was trying to go in alphabetical order, didn't work out as good as I hoped-_-)

To be honest, that Ferrari V8 sound is just a bit annoying to be honest, but nowhere near as annoying as an American SuperCharger Whine, God! Not bad, but not the best, I kinda think they try a bit too hard to make it sound more F1.

And that is like a 16-cylinder engine should sound like:

Bugatti put this in your next Veyron!!!

@BR2
I'd also submit the new Corvette Stingray as one of the best-sounding V8's around.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=Cn_tIT06h3M

And remember, that's the BASE car, straight out of the factory! The aftermarket can't be happy about it; normally you'd have to spend a few grand on exhaust mods to make a car sound like that. Sorry, Hennessey.

Cant argue with that.

Once he floors it, Good Lord! Makes a big difference when the mic is closer to the exhaust. Those are the Top V8 sounds for me, not all, but I will post more later. But I cant chose just one, its rather hard, but I still stand by they ALL sound better then any Ferrari note IMO.

In my opinion, the best sounding engine is a 540 Crate Hemi, it sounds like a NASCAR engine on steroids, throwing a fit of roid rage, but in a production car, Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, Dodge/Plymouth with 440 6 pack or Magnum, and, 426 Hemi.
