@Viking well thank you very much, sorry I'm a bit late in replying, but it's nice to know someone here can appreciate the performance of any stang. Looks like you're familiy owns more mustangs than mine ever will, lol, but all the more to ya. You enjoy them now.

@Rod you have an excellent car. Mustangs are very good all around performance cars. Mustangs are also reliable, and hold up very well over time. My dad has had very few problems over the years with his 1994 Mustang GT. My nephew used to own Porsches, and I used to own Corvettes, but we both own Mustangs now. My nephew has a 2009 Shelby GT500, and I have a 2011 Mustang GT 5.0 with the Brembo package, six speed manual, and 3.73 axle ratio.

I own an 07 Mustang GT, and I love it. These things will kill any Ls1 you go up against, belive me it is a great all round car.

Muscle cars have pushrods not OHC V8s with less poer than a Hyundai Genessis.

fastest i've seen stock for a mustang is 13.27 @ 104.2mph. i saw it on dragtimes.com. also evan smith ran a stock 2006 gt to a 13.3@103.9 mph. http://www.dragtimes.com/Ford-Mustang-Timeslip-14900.html

thank you Wads for changing the data. what does the 1ft rollout really do? i'e heard people talk about it but i'm still clueless on what the point of it is.
thanks again,
roy

RS and roy.... 6.1 did seem a little slow compared to some reviews so I've changed the 0-100kph time to 5.4.... we can't show 5.1 because thats 0-60 not 0-62mph which is what we list. American magazines usually use a drag 1ft rollout when measuring performance which also artificially reduces the figures. I've driven the GT so know that its a quick car.

Awesome car for the money.
Has style and pace!!
With some suspension mods, it could really run in corners too, tust me.
Just look at the Mustangs in Grand-Am Racing Series, they beated both Porsche and BMW for Driver's and Manufacturer's titles in 2008.

Power specs are wrong. It should be 224kW (300hp or 304ps). Americans do not rate their cars in metric horsepower.

Performance data from the Swedish
magazine Automobil: 0-100 km/h 6,1 sec and 0-200 km/h 23,5 sek.
