He said Ford changed the 10-speed automatic due to the issues. Everything I say comes from the Roush engineer that I got to talk with.

And what about the Z06 Laptime?🤫

Why would a passenger car need 10 gear ratios anyway. For God's sake its not a truck that needs to haul heavy cargo at high engine load for hours straight, where you need just the right RPM to hit economy and power sweetspot.

Its like megapixels in phone cameras 😂

Quote>"The 10-speed transmission is meant to improve both performance and fuel efficiency (although many feel that comes with a high cost), helping keep these high-powered trucks well within the federally-mandated MPG ranges and emissions limits. The lower gears are designed to be more aggressive, assisting in zippy acceleration from a dead stop and improving your towing power at low speeds, while the top end gears keep the RPMs in check while cruising at highway speed, reducing fuel consumption. This combination of benefits means that Ford fans (and even those who are more partial to other auto manufacturers) may soon be able to have the Raptor driving experience in a much more modest (and modestly-priced) F-150."

My initial thoughts but a whole lot more too, if obvious in certain areas.

I talked with a Roush engineer and they said that the Mustang GT has a six speed now and that the power number is exactly 480 bhp. It was at an auto show btw.

It would also be lowered by about 0.5 inches.

After years of making money, I hope I can do all this to have one of the most hardcore track-focused yet dailiable Mustang on the road.

Goal specs.
Weight: 3,680 pounds.
Power: 580 hp.
Torque: 480-pound feet.

My dream Mustang will have the following if I can afford it.

Front double wishbone suspension.
Rear independent suspension.
Ford performance dampers.
Michelin Pilot sport 4's.
Wider stance to fit fatter tires.
275 mm front tires.
325 mm tires.
Adjustable swan neck spoiler.
Performance diffuser (carbon).
Carbon hood.
Carbon trunk.
Custom exhaust.
Engine modifications.
Take things out that aren't needed.

Ik that you guys are going to say "get use to the car before modding". I will, I'm going to be modding at about 3 years or so of ownership. This is also going to have to be liveable. Thanks again for the future recommendations I truly appreciate it.

This is gonna be my first car and I would love to track it. Could you original guys (Hostboy, TypeF173, Shwingbob and Fastestlaps) help me with mods? Once I can gather up the money for the mods ofc. I will be spending roughly $15,000. Fyi my dad is paying for the car not me. So basically I want some recommendations for mods If possible.

Is this finally a new Mustang from ground up? Proportions looks suspiciously similar to previous Mustang. But surely this must be a brand new one with almost no shared parts.
