Since BMW is offering an electric version of the M5 in two years from now, and Tesla and Porsche both have competitors (the Model S Plaid and Taycan Turbo S), now is an EXCELLENT time for Genesis to soup up their "Electrified" G80.

My Genesis G80 3.5T Sport estimations
Motor Trend Figure-8: 24.4 sec @ 0.89 G - super impressive considering its weight!
Nurburgring Nordschleife: 7:57 - faster than Acura TLX Type S, Maserati Ghibli Trofeo, and Lexus IS500 F Sport Performance!!!
Top Gear Test Track: 1:25 - faster than Infiniti Q50 Red Sport 400!!

In spite of (still) heavy weight, improved springs + cosmetics allow for quicker lap times and acceleration times.
Because it's AWD only and porky as 4500 lbs, its 107mph trap speed is excusable for 500 (actual) hp. And this is for the Sport version.
Genesis kept the Sport version at the same "power" level officially to avoid overlapping with their discontinued V8 + for insurance reasons.
